What is SmartDrive?
- National General’s SmartDrive program rewards drivers with reduced rates just by downloading an easy-to-use app on their smartphone.
- The SmartDrive program immediately gives customers a participation discount of up to 5% on their personal auto premium when they install the Route Report monitoring app on their smartphone. There’s no special equipment to install, which makes it easy to get started.
- Participating drivers can view their own recent trips and see how safely they drove. We’ve found that this immediate feedback has a powerful effect on customers’ behavior when they’re behind the wheel (which also can help improve your agency’s loss ratio).
- Customers that activate their Route Report account and take their first trip have 14% higher retention rates. We encourage you to walk them through the activation at the point of sale to ensure they retain their 5% SmartDrive discount.
